CLOSED FOR 2024
Blow the dust off your camera, get your pencils, pastels and paint brushes out, or fire up a tablet. Entries are now open for the 2024 Beef Empire Days featured art contest! All mediums, styles and subjects are welcome as long as entries pertain to beef or cattle.
Entries will be featured in 2024 event marketing. The contest winner will be published on the Beef Empire Days 2024 Program Guide cover and receive $200! The BED board will select up to 5 finalists for the public to vote on and choose a winner. (Public voting will take place on our social pages.)
The deadline to enter is December 31, 2023.

ELIGIBILITY
All works must be original. Compositions based on published material or other artists’ work are NOT considered original and are not eligible. Paintings based on another person’s photograph (even if it’s copyright-free) are NOT eligible. Beef Empire Days reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for publication or that does not meet above criteria.
PREPARING YOUR ENTRY
All entries must be submitted via email. There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit. There are no limitations to the mediums or dimensions of the art. Please save and submit all images in jpg format.
If your work is selected as the winner, we may contact you about sending a hi-resolution print quality replacement.
JUDGING
Finalists will be chosen by the Beef Empire Days Board and entries will be narrowed down to at least the top 5. Winner will be chosen from the top 5 by the public on social media platforms. All properly prepared entries will be viewed and judged. Final votes will be tallied on February 1, 2024.
NOTIFICATIONS
Winner will be notified by February 2, 2023. Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified of the results.
